Alexander Munera is a lawyer and the Principal at MUNERA. He is licensed to practice law in Ontario, Alberta and Canada.
Alexander started his legal career at a reputable full service law firm in Calgary and subsequently practiced at a boutique commercial law firm in Toronto. He then became the legal counsel for Canada and Latin America for a global engineering/infrastructure company prior to founding MUNERA.
Alexander obtained his JD degree from Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto. Additionally, Alexander obtained his MBA and MEng from McGill University in Montreal, and his BEng, Chemical Engineering degree from Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana in Colombia.
In addition to being a lawyer, Alexander is a natural entrepreneur who has founded various corporations in the hospitality, real estate and professional service arenas, which have proved to be successful business ventures to date.
Alexander’s entrepreneurial trait has allowed him to understand his clients’ businesses thoroughly and offer personalized legal advice that addresses basic and critical needs for entrepreneurs and businesses overall when exploring their own ventures.
Alexander has represented clients before the Federal Court of Canada in matters involving Judicial Reviews. He has also represented clients before the Ontario Court of Appeal, the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and the Ontario Court of Justice in matters involving both civil and family litigation, as well as matters in Toronto’s Commercial List.
Additionally, Alexander has represented clients before various tribunals in real estate and employment matters.
Prior to becoming a lawyer, Alexander worked within the financial services, oil and gas and natural resources, and petrochemical industries in various roles involving engineering, banking and international business.
Alexander’s client base includes large public companies, non-for-profit and government organizations, mid-size and small businesses as well as individuals.
Alexander is fully fluent in French, Spanish and English. Additionally, he is conversant in Italian and Portuguese. Alexander Munera is able to provide services to his clients in Spanish and French.
